Steno-typist caught taking ₹10,000 bribe in Kondagaon: ACB trap exposes ₹35,000 demand for land mutation work

RAIPUR: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Jagdalpur team caught a steno-typist red-handed while accepting a ₹10,000 bribe at the Farasgaon Tehsil Office in Kondagaon district on June 30, 2026.
The complainant, Bisu Lal Netam, a resident of Patla village in Kondagaon, lodged a complaint with the ACB Jagdalpur. Netam had submitted an online application for the mutation (namantaran) of his ancestral land to include the names of his father, uncle and aunt.
When Netam met Mukesh Rangari, a steno-typist posted at the Farasgaon Tehsil Office, the accused allegedly demanded a ₹35,000 bribe to process the application. Unwilling to pay the bribe, Netam approached the ACB and requested action against the official.
During the verification of the complaint, the accused agreed to accept ₹10,000 instead of the originally demanded amount. Acting on the complaint, the ACB laid a trap on June 30, 2026, and caught Mukesh Rangari red-handed while accepting the ₹10,000 bribe.
The ACB immediately arrested the accused and initiated further legal proceedings under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (Amended Act, 2018).
