Modi Lambasts Congress, Touts BJP’s Development Agenda

Raipur: In a scathing attack on the Congress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the party’s focus on “parivarvaad” (dynasty), corruption, and appeasement, stating that the nation’s development was never its priority. Speaking at the ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Chhattisgarh’ program, Modi emphasized the need for a new era of development, distancing from the Congress’s legacy of familial politics and neglect of national progress.
Highlighting the transformative potential of Chhattisgarh, Modi envisioned the state’s ascent to new heights as India gears to become the world’s third-largest economy. He reiterated his commitment to the welfare of every citizen, asserting that for him, the aspirations of the people are paramount.
Underlining the importance of empowering the marginalized sections, Modi praised the BJP government’s efforts in expediting housing projects for the poor and cracking down on corruption. He showcased the government’s welfare schemes, ranging from free rations to affordable housing, as tangible steps towards inclusive growth.
Reflecting on India’s journey towards digitalization and financial inclusion, Modi juxtaposed the present progress with the stagnation during Congress rule, citing the inefficiencies in resource distribution. He lauded the Direct Benefit Transfer scheme, emphasizing how it prevented embezzlement and ensured funds reached the intended beneficiaries.
Emphasizing the role of infrastructure in fostering development, Modi detailed initiatives aimed at bolstering healthcare, education, and transportation networks. He particularly lauded the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity scheme, which aims to reduce electricity bills to zero for millions of households, thereby enhancing disposable income.
Modi’s vision for Chhattisgarh encompasses not only infrastructural development but also a shift towards renewable energy. He outlined plans to transform farmers into energy producers through the installation of solar panels, thereby augmenting rural incomes and fostering sustainable agriculture practices.
Commending the BJP government’s governance in Chhattisgarh, Modi reiterated his commitment to fulfilling electoral promises, including increasing the wages of tendupatta collectors and rectifying past administrative errors. He emphasized the potential for Chhattisgarh’s growth, buoyed by its industrious farmers, talented youth, and abundant natural resources.
As Modi concluded his address, the message resonated clear – a departure from the Congress’s stagnation towards a future propelled by innovation, inclusivity, and integrity. With a roadmap firmly in place, Chhattisgarh’s trajectory towards development appears brighter than ever under the stewardship of the BJP.
