*“Make entrepreneurship a part of life for success”- Vice-Chancellor Prof. Chakrawal*



*Annual Festival ‘Bihan-2023’ of CU’s Department of Management Studies Organized*
Bilaspur. The inauguration ceremony of the annual festival, ‘Bihan-2023’ of the Department of Management Studies under the School of Commerce and Management of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (Central University) took place at 11 a.m. on May 03, 2023 in the Rajat Jayanti Sabhagar.
Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal, the Chief Guest of the inauguration program, said that entrepreneurship has a special importance in the life of a student of management studies. He said, “Everyone should make entrepreneurship a part of life for success. Students should convert small opportunities into big projects by increasing their capacity”. He emphasized that being disciplined with dedication, practice, coordination and staying updated with the changes coming in technology is the key to success.


Vice-Chancellor Professor Chakrawal oriented the students in the basics of startups, business discipline and the nuances of business as well as success through various live examples. He encouraged the students saying that just as the students of the world’s best higher education institutions act as their brand ambassadors, they all should bring laurels to the university.
Before this, the program was inaugurated with lighting the lamp and garlanding the oil paintings of Maa Saraswati and Baba Guru Ghasidas ji. The guests on the stage were welcomed by presenting them saplings. The Head of the Department of Management Studies, Prof. B.D. Mishra gave the welcome address. The Registrar, Mr. Suraj Kumar Mehar, Dean, School of Commerce and Management, Prof. A.K. Mishra and Associate-professor of the department, Dr. B.B. Pandey also expressed their views. The President of Young Managers’ Club, Mansi Jain presented the annual report. Students also gave presentations of dance, singing, drama, mime and other performances.
The dignitaries gave away prizes to the winners of various competitions organized by the department. The guests were honored by presenting mementos. The program was conducted by Dr. Prem Shankar Dwivedi, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies and the vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Kaustub Agarwal of Young Managers’ Club. Heads of Departments under faculty of Management and Commerce, teaching staff, and a large number of students were present on this occasion.
