Governor Ramen Deka to inaugurate three-day Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conclave 2026 tomorrow
Raipur: Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka will inaugurate a three-day Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conclave 2026 at the Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya campus on Monday, 28 September. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will preside over the opening ceremony.
Minister for Agriculture Development, Farmer Welfare and Biotechnology Ramvichar Netam, alongside MLAs Motilal Sahu and Anuj Sharma, will attend the event as special guests. Over 1,500 young individuals from across the country, including Chhattisgarh, are set to participate in the conclave organized by Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya at Krishi Mandapam from 28 to 30 September. The event is supported by IIT Bhilai, NIT Raipur, IIIT Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology, Chhattisgarh Biotech Promotion Society, and NABARD.
More than 1,200 students, innovators, and aspiring entrepreneurs have already registered. The organizers have also arranged spot registration at the venue on 28 September.
Governor Deka will also inaugurate the newly constructed Subhash Chandra Bose Biotechnology Incubation Centre on the occasion. Built across two acres, it is the state’s first biotechnology-focused incubation facility equipped with modern laboratories, a BSL-3 facility, analytical and testing units, and co-working spaces to support researchers and startups in agricultural biotechnology, health, food processing, and environmental sciences.
The conclave will feature an Innovation and Startup Exhibition along with four technical sessions, expert lectures, policy dialogues, and mentorship programs. A pitching competition during the event will reward the top three startups with cash prizes of ₹1 lakh, ₹75,000, and ₹50,000.
The initiative aims to accelerate the execution of the Chhattisgarh Innovation and Startup Promotion Policy 2025–30 by providing a collaborative platform for students, researchers, investors, and policymakers to develop commercial enterprises in emerging tech sectors.
