RAIPUR: A video showing Abhanpur Naib Tehsildar Vipin Patel celebrating his birthday with fireworks in the middle of a road has gone viral on social media, raising questions about adherence to traffic rules.
The footage shows Patel stopping his vehicle on a roadway, cutting a birthday cake, and making a social media reel to the song “O O Jaane Jaana” from a Salman Khan film. Fireworks were also burst during the celebration.
The incident has drawn criticism regarding public safety and traffic management, particularly because the High Court has previously issued strict directives against celebrating birthdays on public roads.
No official statement or confirmation of administrative action has been released yet. Observers are awaiting a response from the authorities regarding whether an inquiry or punitive action will follow.
