Chhattisgarh Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club to be dissolved; Audit of 126 crores will be done

Chhattisgarh Finance Minister O P Choudhary said  that educated youths will be recruited in liquor shops as the he issue of liquor scam echoed in the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly on Wednesday
The Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club, formed during the Congress regime in Chhattisgarh, will also be dissolved, minister Tankram Verma announced in the House. He said that a provision of Rs 132 crore was made for the club. An audit of the Rs 126 crore, which was provided under the Club scheme, will be conducted.
BJP legislators raised slogans demanding the dissolution of the club. After this, the minister announced the dissolution of the club. Congress MLA Savitri Mandavi demanded that the club should not be dissolved during the question hour.
Regarding the mismanagement in the operation of liquor shops, BJP MLA Dharmjeet Singh said that there are about 700 liquor shops in the state, selling both domestic and foreign liquor. Sales of Rs 2856 crore from these shops were not deposited in the treasury. This malpractice has been going on since 2019.
He said that he had raised this issue in the house before. Then the answer was that Rs 2800 crore were spent in the treasury. Whereas such a large amount cannot be kept for the treasury. He asked if the government would appoint new placement agencies.
In response, the Finance Minister said that agencies will now work transparently. He informed that adjustments will be made in their payment this month so that recovery can be ensured. Along with this, now new youths and educated people will be included through placement agencies.
The Finance Minister said that the previous government had promised liquor ban in the manifesto. Holding Ganges water in hand, it was said that prohibition would be imposed, but we did not make any such promise. However, strict action will be taken against illegal liquor sales.
Meanwhile, opposition leader Dr Charan Das Mahant said that we had never made any promise of liquor ban holding Ganges water in hand.

\Congress MLAs said – morale of cow smugglers high in BJP government
Congress MLAs raised the issue of cow smuggling in the house. MLA Dwarikadhish Yadav said that as soon as the BJP government was formed, the morale of cow smugglers has increased. Cow mothers have been found in containers on the roads of the capital, and 1300 cows have died.
Dwarikadhish said that the government is not ready to take action against cow smugglers. Within three months of the BJP government, cow smugglers have entered Chhattisgarh from Tamil Nadu. Cow mothers are being killed, and the government is sitting quietly. The government is unable to protect cow mothers.

\Echo of Jal Jeevan Mission in the house
The issue of Jal Jeevan Mission echoed during the question hour in the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. During this, BJP MLA Gomti Sai questioned the scheme in Jashpur. Along with this, she demanded to form a committee to investigate the irregularities. She also questioned the vacant positions of engineers in Jashpur.

\No need to form a committee for investigation
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that the department is working seriously. There is no need to form a committee for investigation at present. The process of recruitment of engineers is also underway. Everyone knows the condition of Jal Jeevan Mission in the previous government. The new government is working fast in this scheme. 77 percent of the work has been completed under the scheme.
