BJP’s Post-Election Strategy: Focus Shifts to Upcoming Municipal and Panchayat Polls

RaipurThe Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Kiran Singh Dev said that after the BJP’s historic performance in the state assembly and then Lok Sabha elections, the BJP is now focusing on the proposed municipal elections nearly three months later and subsequently the tri-level Panchayat elections. In this regard, a crucial meeting of the state BJP’s working committee was held on July 10. Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Dev said that for the first time, such a comprehensive meeting of the state working committee was held, in which district presidents were also invited. This time, BJP’s national office bearers, members of the state core committee, BJP state officials, committee members, MPs, national office bearers of fronts, retired MPs, MLAs, retired MLAs, all state officials of fronts, treasurers, state coordinators of departments, regional in-charges, co-in-charges, district BJP and all district presidents of fronts, mandal presidents of BJP, district coordinators of all departments, municipal mayor opposition leaders, municipal council presidents, town panchayat presidents, district panchayat presidents-vice presidents and block panchayat presidents were present for the meeting. He briefed on the upcoming action plan of the party and said that by 20 July 2024, extended district working committee meetings will be held, in which guidance of state officials will be received by workers and from 21 to 25 July 2024, extended mandal working committee meetings will be held.Similarly, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call, the program of planting trees under the campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” will be conducted throughout the rainy season. 51 trees will be planted at each booth. By placing a photo of Mother with “My Tree, My Life,” tree planting will be done.On 21 July 2024, on the occasion of Guru Purnima, all workers will worship their 2 gurus and go to the temple or temple.On 28 July 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular “Mann Ki Baat” program will be heard worldwide, in which booth programs of “Mann Ki Baat” will be organized according to each district to ensure maximum attendance.On 4 August 2024, on the occasion of Hareli festival, competitions such as walking on stilts and coconut throwing will be organized at the mandal and booth levels.On 7 August 2024, on the occasion of Hariyali Teej festival, under the auspices of the Women’s Front, programs will be organized from the state to the mandal level with the message of ‘Green Chhattisgarh’ and the role of mother power will be emphasized for environmental protection.On 9 August, on the occasion of World Tribal Day, the sacrifices of the tribal society in the freedom struggle and the various roles in different regions will be familiarized with the people through the talents of the tribal talents.On September 5, 2024, on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, a program will be organized to honor the teachers by discussing their significant role in the educational and social sectors.On 16 September 2024, programs will be organized on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti.On September 17, 2024, on the occasion of Prime Minister Shri Modi’s birthday, under the service fortnight, all workers will also participate in social service activities while participating in ongoing service activities in various sectors according to the mandals.On September 29, 2024, the Mann Ki Baat program will be broadcasted in which all workers will ensure the presence of people.In response to a question related to the deaths of tribals due to the non-implementation of the rescue and check plan, BJP state president Mr. Dev said that the seriousness of Congress and its previous government regarding the rescue plan has been seen by the people in just 5 years.
