Raipur police deploy drones, tow 100 vehicles to manage festive traffic rush

Raipur: Raipur police have launched a special traffic management drive across major commercial zones, including Sadar Bazar, Malviya Road, Jaistambh Chowk, Pandri Market, Purani Basti, and Bhatagaon, to manage the heavy festive traffic rush and strengthen security arrangements.
Teams of traffic police officers are conducting continuous patrols in crowded market areas to remove road obstructions and prevent traffic congestion, ensuring smooth movement for shoppers and traders.
Authorities are monitoring high-density shopping areas through drone cameras and aerial surveillance. The traffic police have also started issuing e-challans against vehicles parked improperly or obstructing roads.
As part of the enforcement drive, cranes have towed away more than 100 vehicles found parked in non-designated zones.
Police officials have appealed to citizens to cooperate with the traffic management arrangements by parking vehicles strictly within marked white lines and using designated parking spaces instead of narrow lanes and no-parking zones.
