The BJP Mahila Morcha staged a “Jan Aakrosh Padyatra” in Raipur on Monday. Thousands of women from various organisations participated in the march from the Indoor Stadium to protest against the Congress party’s opposition to the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai addressed the gathering at the rally. He stated that the stance taken by the Congress and opposition parties proves they are anti-woman. He added that opposition leaders are uncomfortable with women leading in the Lok Sabha or Vidhan Sabha unless they belong to the Gandhi family. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for introducing the act to ensure 33% reservation for women.

State BJP President Kiran Deo accused the Congress of viewing women only as a vote bank. He said the party blocked the legislation to stop women from contributing to a “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision.
National Vice President Saroj Pandey said the opposition denied women their rights by stalling the bill and emphasized BJP’s commitment to protecting the constitutional rights and dignity of women.

National Vice President Lata Usendi stated that the Union government introduced multiple bills related to women’s reservation in the Lok Sabha, and criticized the Congress for opposing them with biased arguments.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao alleged that the Congress insulted women by opposing the bill and prefers to keep them confined to their homes rather than letting them lead the nation.

Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade said women are now aware of their rights and interests, adding that the Congress has historically misled women, and the country will not forgive it.
Member of Parliament Rupkumari Choudhary conducted the proceedings, while State Mahila Morcha President Vibha Awasthi proposed the vote of thanks. The rally concluded at Subhash Stadium, with participation from Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, cabinet ministers, and several legislators.
