Raipur, 8 October। Mayor Meenal Chaubey has clarified the location designated for naming as “Seva Jyoti Sankalp Chowk” following confusion within the Sahu community over the decision.
A delegation from the Sahu community met Mayor Chaubey in her office chamber to raise their concerns. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sambit Mishra and MIC Member Santosh Sahu were also present during the discussion.
Mayor Chaubey explained that the proposed “Seva Jyoti Sankalp Chowk” refers specifically to the traffic island at the tri-junction near Ring Road and Telibandha Police Station.
She stated that no proposal has been submitted to rename the squares on either side of Telibandha Lake. The administration has not renamed those squares as “Seva Jyoti Sankalp Chowk.”
Mayor Chaubey assured the community representatives that the existing squares near Telibandha Lake will remain unaffected by the proposal.
