Rajesh Kumar Shukla reappointed MD of Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company

Raipur – The Chhattisgarh government’s Energy Department has issued an order granting a fresh service extension to Rajesh Kumar Shukla. He will serve as the Managing Director (MD) of the Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company Limited (CSPTCL) for a third term.

Upon assuming charge, Shukla expressed gratitude to the state government. He stated that his priority remains aligned with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s vision to develop the state and ensure Chhattisgarh leads the country in electricity infrastructure development.

Shukla also thanked Subodh Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to the CM and Chairman (Transmission) of the Power Company, along with Dr Rohit Yadav, Energy Secretary and Chairman (Distribution-Generation).

Born on 8 July 1963 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, Shukla earned his BE in Electrical Engineering from the Government Engineering College, Jabalpur, in 1983. He began his career in 1984 as a graduate trainee assistant engineer with the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board. After serving in various capacities over four decades, he was first appointed MD of CSPTCL in 2024.

Under Shukla’s leadership over the past two years, the transmission company has focused on technical strengthening and operational transparency. His tenure has seen a steady expansion of the power transmission network and the implementation of institutional reforms across the state.
