RaipurA tragic incident occurred in Raipur when a woman jumped to her death from the 8th floor of an under-construction building. Reportedly, she swiftly ran from her home, climbed the nearby building, and jumped, resulting in a fatal head injury. It is said that the woman was mentally ill. The incident took place in the Boriyakhurd area under Tikrapara police jurisdiction.According to Tikrapara police, the woman’s name was Shabnam Parveen, aged 41. Her house is near the incident site in RDA Colony Block-H, Boriyakhurd, where the building is under construction. Witnesses reported that around 12 PM, Shabnam ran quickly towards the building from her home.Eyewitnesses stated that some people were present on the road near the building. They saw the woman running and climbing the building. Within minutes, she reached the 8th floor and jumped. She suffered a severe head injury upon hitting the ground, leading to her immediate death.People nearby mentioned that the woman lived with her family. The police suspect that she might have taken her life following a domestic dispute. However, the police are interrogating her family members to ascertain the exact reason for her suicide.Regarding the incident, Tikrapara Station In-charge Durgesh Rawte stated that the preliminary investigation suggests suicide. The police are questioning the family and surrounding residents to determine the cause of the suicide. The woman’s body has been sent for post-mortem.
