CAF jawan attempts suicide in restive Bastar

A CAF (Chhattisgarh Armed Force) jawan attempted suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle during night duty in the volatile Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. The incident caused a stir among his fellow soldiers, who promptly rushed to the scene. The injured soldier has been admitted to the district hospital, where his condition is reported to be stable.
The jawan, identified as Manoj Dinkar from Janjgir-Champa district, has been stationed at the Ramapuram CAF camp in Bijapur for the past few months. On Wednesday, while on night duty, he shot himself with his service rifle.
The motive behind the suicide attempt remains unknown. Following the incident, fellow jawans administered first aid at the camp before transporting him to the Bhopalpattanam Community Health Center. After initial treatment, he was transferred to the district hospital for further care, where his condition is currently stable.
