Junior Doctors Association thanks CM Baghel for increased stipends

Raipur: A delegation from the Junior Doctors Association met with chief minister Bhupesh Baghel at his residence office late on Sunday to express their heartfelt gratitude for the government’s decision to increase the stipends of junior doctors. The state government’s move to enhance the stipends for medical practitioners is aimed at recognizing their dedication and commitment to serving the people of Chhattisgarh.
The government has implemented new rates for stipends, benefiting junior doctors across the state. As per the revised rates, PG first-year students will now receive Rs. 67,500 per month (previously Rs. 53,550) as stipends, PG second-year students will receive Rs. 71,450 per month (previously Rs. 56,700), and PG third-year students will receive Rs. 74,600 per month (previously Rs. 59,200). Moreover, the stipends for M.B.B.S. internship students have been increased to Rs. 15,900 per month (previously Rs. 12,600), resulting in increments ranging from Rs. 3,500 to Rs. 15,000 for junior doctors.
The decision by the Chhattisgarh government to raise stipends for medical students and junior doctors is a testament to its commitment to nurturing and supporting the healthcare professionals who play a crucial role in providing medical services to the people of the state.
During the meeting, Dr. Rakesh Gupta, Dr. Gaurav Singh Parihar, Dr. Manu Pratap Singh, Dr. Yogeshwar Swarnakar, Dr. Vijaya Singh, Dr. Pritam Prajapati, Dr. Dilip Kumar Sahu, Dr. Himanshu Singh, Dr. Abhishek Gujarati, Dr. Sonal Chandrakar, and Dr. Vyom Agarwal, representing the Junior Doctors Association, expressed their gratitude to chief minister Bhupesh Baghel for the thoughtful decision that recognizes the hard work and dedication of medical professionals in the state.
