Raipur: The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Raipur campus, organised a two-day orientation programme, “Deeksharambha–2026”, for newly admitted M.Sc Forensic Science and M.Sc Digital Forensics & Information Security (DFIS) students.
The event aimed to familiarise students with the campus facilities, including laboratories, library services, scholarships, sports, and cultural activities.
The orientation took place under the leadership of NFSU vice-chancellor Dr J. M. Vyas and campus director Prof. S. O. Junare. Faculty members briefed the batch on academic requirements, research avenues, and institutional regulations.
Dr Ritesh Kumar Shukla, associate dean, introduced the faculty and outlined the academic setup. Course curriculums were explained by assistant professor Dr Preetika Chatterjee, while assistant professor Bhupeshkumar Nanhe provided details on laboratory infrastructure and scholarship schemes. Assistant professor Chandan Kumar covered the scope of the M.Sc DFIS course. Assistant professor Ayush Sherekar detailed co-curricular offerings, and Satish Kumar explained library operations.
Students also attended a virtual briefing hosted by the NFSU headquarters in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The session covered the varsity’s overall organisational framework and student support systems across campuses.
Administrative staff members Jyoti, Premsingh, Vikas, and Ruprendra assisted in managing the proceedings. Assistant professor Amrita Mishra coordinated the two-day event, and deputy registrar Praveen Kumar delivered the vote of thanks.
