DGP Ashok Juneja holds crucial meeting of Sr. Cops ahead of assembly elections

Director General of Police (DGP), Chhattisgarh, held a crucial meeting of senior cops ahead of assembly elections in the state and instructed them for a crackdown on miscreants. The DGP said that the miscreants should either be externed or booked under the NSA if found indulging in posing threat to law and order. Range IGs, SPs and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
The action taken by the police against the crimes in their respective districts was also reviewed in the meeting. SPs were instructed to act strictly against online gambling, gambling, betting, illicit liquor and illegal drug trade.
The ongoing action against chit fund companies was also reviewed in the meeting. The DGP asked the SPs that in cases where the court has ordered attachment, auction of properties of the accused should be followed to refund the investors’ money.
In view of the upcoming assembly elections, the DGP has also directed to make a list of criminals and anti-social elements and instructed and take action accordingly.
