Chhattisgarh CM Sai criticizes Congress’s false rice distribution claims, highlights BJP’s commitment to providing free rice through PDS system

Raipur
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has strongly criticized Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi for spreading false information about rice distribution in Chhattisgarh’s Public Distribution System (PDS).
In an interview, Priyanka Gandhi claimed that during the Congress government’s tenure in Chhattisgarh, 35 kg of ration was provided, but now only 5 kg is being distributed. In response, Chief Minister Sai took to his social media handle X, stating, “The Congress has had a habit of lying for 70 years; it won’t go away easily.”
Addressing Priyanka Gandhi directly, he wrote, “Priyanka Ji, if you can spare some time from spreading lies, please say a few words about the Rs 5000 crore rice scam committed by your Congress government in Chhattisgarh.”
“Taking advantage of your ignorance, Chhattisgarh Congress leaders always make fools of you. Last time, they told Rahul Ji that the Congress government had established a food park in every district of Chhattisgarh. The people of Chhattisgarh responded to that lie by bringing your party to its knees.”
“And this time, your party has again made a fool of you regarding the ration issue. Please do some reading and writing before making any statements,” the CM continued. “If you do a little homework before making statements, you won’t face embarrassment repeatedly.”
The Chief Minister emphasized that unlike the Congress, the BJP government is not looting the poor’s rations but is continuing to distribute ration even more smoothly and consistently.
In Chhattisgarh’s PDS, aside from the 5 kg of rice supplied by the central government, the state government led by Vishnu Deo Sai provides an additional 10 kg for single-member cardholders, 20 kg for two-member cardholders, 35 kg for cardholders with three to five members, and 7 kg per member for cardholders with more than five members, all free of cost.
