Big Boost for UPSC Aspirants in Chhattisgarh: Rs 1 Lakh Incentive for Mains Qualifiers

In a major encouragement for civil service aspirants, the Chhattisgarh government has announced a financial incentive of Rs 1 lakh for candidates from the state who qualify the UPSC Mains examination. The decision comes under the directive of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and aims to support meritorious candidates in their journey toward the prestigious civil services.
An official order to this effect has been issued by the Urban Administration Department. The incentive will be disbursed through the “Mayor’s Honor Fund,” managed by municipal corporations across Chhattisgarh.
The announcement comes on the heels of the recently declared UPSC 2024 results, which brought glory to the state. Purva Agrawal from Bilaspur secured an outstanding All India Rank (AIR) of 65. Arpan Chopra from Mungeli achieved a rank of 313, while Mansi Jain from Jagdalpur, Bastar secured the 444th position. Ambikapur’s Keshav Garg and Shachi Jaiswal secured ranks 496 and 654 respectively.
The initiative is expected to provide a significant morale and financial boost to aspirants preparing for the final interview stage and will further strengthen Chhattisgarh’s presence in the UPSC merit list.
