Police on Friday arrested a 40-year-old self-styled godman for allegedly forcing a 17-year-old boy to strip and perform inappropriate acts under the pretext of fulfilling his wish.
The minor approached the Azad Chowk police station and lodged a complaint stating that he had visited a house in the Eidgahbhatha area on 15 June to meet a man identified as Mustakeem Beg, who claimed to possess powers to fulfil people’s wishes.
The complainant alleged that after he entered a room in the house, someone shut the door from outside while Beg was inside. The accused allegedly told the boy that he would fulfil his wish and made him remove all his clothes. The boy was then allegedly made to walk around the room naked for about five minutes. The accused also allegedly made the minor kiss his feet, claiming that his wish had been granted and all obstacles in his life had been removed.
The minor told police that the incident left him humiliated and distressed, prompting him to file the official complaint.
Following the complaint, the Azad Chowk police registered a case under the relevant sections of the law and initiated a probe.
