CG govt to give free-of-cost coaching for SC,ST, OBC and EWS category droppers to prepare for NEET, JEE, CLAT, NDA and PAT exams
Raipur: Students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Tribes, Other Backward Classes and EWS categories who have passed class 12th and took a drop have a golden opportunity to prepare for NEET, JEE, CLAT, NDA and PAT exams. Applications have been invited by the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department from interested students under the Youth Career Construction Scheme. The last date for applying is October 12 till 5 pm. Giving detailed guidelines in this regard tribal and scheduled castes development commissioner Shammi Abidi said “a total of 500 candidates will be benefitted under the scheme. This includes 150 candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes, 100 of Scheduled Castes, 200 of Other Backward Classes and 50 candidates of EWS category. To take advantage of the scheme, such candidates who have secured 70 per cent or equivalent grade in class 12th can apply. Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit marks obtained in the test, but the candidate preparing for NDA Entrance Exam will have to fulfill the prescribed physical standards for the exam. The duration of coaching under the scheme will be for a maximum period of one year or till the date of the competitive examination held for that year, whichever is earlier. The arrangements for coaching, accommodation, food, medical, book, transport, and admission fee will be free for the students.
