Bhilai-Durg: Under the banner of the National Centre for Financial Education (NCFE), a Financial Education Programme for Adults (FEPA) was successfully conducted for employees of STEEL INTECH PVT. LTD. (STECH) at its facility in Bhilai-Durg, Chhattisgarh, on 14 September 2026.
The programme aimed to enhance financial awareness among employees and help them make informed decisions relating to their personal finances, financial goals and long-term financial well-being.
The workshop was conducted by NCFE Empanelled Financial Education Trainer, Mr. Vikas Gupta, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and PMP, using simple language, practical illustrations and real-life examples. The session covered important areas including income and expense management, budgeting, saving and investing, financial goals, inflation, emergency funds, banking and digital payments, Mutual Funds, SIPs, power of compounding, insurance, retirement planning, NPS, taxation basics, cyber security awareness and fraud prevention.
A total of 38 employees participated in the programme and actively engaged in the discussions. The interactive approach helped participants understand how financial awareness, disciplined saving and informed financial planning can contribute towards achieving personal and family financial goals.
The programme also highlighted the importance of financial protection through appropriate insurance, responsible investment practices, retirement preparedness and protection against digital financial frauds.
The Financial Education Programme provided participants with practical knowledge and awareness that can help them evaluate their financial priorities, understand available financial products and make more informed decisions for themselves and their families.
