The Raj Bhawan in Chhattisgarh has dismissed the Vice Chancellor of the Mahatma Gandhi University of Horticulture and Forestry (MGUHF). An order to this effect was issued from the Raj Bhavan on Friday. Under Section 17 of the Mahatma Gandhi University of Horticulture and Forestry Act, 2019, Dr. Ram Shankar Kuril has been removed from the position of Vice Chancellor of the University located in Patan, Durg, with immediate effect.
In accordance with Section 14(7) of the Mahatma Gandhi University of Horticulture and Forestry Act, 2019, Dr. Sanjay Alung, the Commissioner of Raipur Division, has been appointed as the Acting Vice Chancellor of the University until further notice. Commissioner Dr. Alung also assumed the responsibilities of the Chancellor’s office on Friday.
