Life is like Chandrayaan Mission, persistence and edurance in the face of difficulties leads to success: Prez

President Droupadi Murmu attended the tenth convocation ceremony of Guru Ghasidas University, where she conferred degrees on 2,946 students. In her address, President Murmu emphasized the inspirational value of India’s successful Chandrayaan mission, highlighting the importance of hard work, consistency, and perseverance in achieving one’s goals. She encouraged students not to be discouraged by setbacks and immediate gratification but to view every challenge as an opportunity for growth.

President Murmu also applauded the university’s modern laboratories and accelerator-based research center, emphasizing the role of education in developing a scientific attitude. She noted that the university should aim for global recognition through constructive research.

The President underscored the university’s namesake, Guru Ghasidas, who advocated for equality, urging youth to follow these ideals to build a just society. She also recalled the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and his emphasis on sports, physical health, and self-confidence.

President Murmu commended the significant presence of female students at the university and the empowerment it signifies. She also highlighted the importance of sensitivity towards tribal communities and the participation of women in the region.

Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan, in his address, congratulated the students and emphasized the transformative power of education in shaping cultured and disciplined individuals. He encouraged students to work for the welfare of marginalized communities.

Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel praised the students’ hard work, intelligence, and discipline, stating that they had proven themselves worthy of the gold medals. He highlighted the state’s commitment to youth empowerment, including job opportunities and financial aid through unemployment allowances.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University Alok Kumar Chakrawal, presented a report on the university’s achievements, while Minister of State for Tribal Development Renuka Singh attended as a special guest.

Several other dignitaries, including Higher Education Minister Umesh Patel, Mayor of Municipal Corporation Bilaspur Ramsharan Yadav, and various public representatives and administrative officers, were also present at the ceremony.
