Raipur Dr Anil Dixit from Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) –National Institute of Biotic Stress Management (NIBSM), Raipur, has been appointed as Joint Director (Crop Health Management) for a period of five years. The appointment was done by the Union Agriculture Minister on the recommendation of the Agriculture Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB). A native of Chhattisgarh, Dr Dixit has been a gold medalist from Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur. Dr Dixit completed his Post Graduation and PhD from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. His work in the field of agriculture has earned him the post of joint director at ICAR’s Raipur branch. An IARI alumnus and senior professor of weed science has 30 years of experience in teaching, research, extension and administration. He was recently elected as vice president of the National Weed Science Professional Society.
Dixit assumed charge on Friday and will hold the post for five years.
