Army jawan among three died after consuming liquor in Janjgir-Champa

The Jawan got married a week ago and preparations for a reception was going on when the tragedy struck the family on Monday

A pal of gloom descended on Rogda village of Janjgir-Champa when three people, including an Army jawan who got married a week ago, died after consuming liquor in Navagarh area of Janjgir-Champa.
According to information, the trip together consumed alcohol and fainted after sometime. The doctors declared them brought dead when they were taken to a nearby hospital. A case has been registered with Nawagarh police station.
Rogda resident Nandlal Kashyap (32) was posted as a technician in the Indian Army. He had come home because of his marriage. Nandlal and Paras Sahu (53) and Satish Kashyap (35) of the village had decided to consume liquor on Monday morning. Around 7 in the morning, all three had bought liquor from Harprasad of the village itself.
After consuming liquor they got fainted and the people around saw them in a state of unconsciousness and they were taken to Navagarh CHC. Paras Sahu used to do farming in the village while Satish used to work in a plant in Korba.
ASP Anil Soni reached the spot. Navagarh police have sent the body of the trio for postmortem. SP Vijay Agrawal has said that the three died after drinking alcohol. Police, doctors and FSL team have reached the spot. The cause of death will be clear after the PM report comes.
Nandlal Kashyap was married on May 6 in his village itself. On Monday, a feast was organized at home and preparations was going on when the incident took place.
Leader of Opposition Narayan Chandel has said that this is a very unfortunate incident and targeted chief minister Bhupesh Baghel for ‘serving’ poisonous liquor in the state. He demanded from the administration and the government that whoever is responsible for this, strict action should be taken.
