Subodh Singh Returns to Chhattisgarh, Likely to Rejoin CM Secretariat as Principal Secretary

Subodh Singh, a 1997 batch IAS officer who recently returned from central deputation, joined the General Administration Department on Thursday.

Singh had been on central deputation since 2019. Recently, at the request of the state government, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) relieved him, enabling his return to Chhattisgarh. Another officer, Amit Kataria, who also recently returned from central deputation, is expected to receive a posting soon. Additionally, changes in the portfolios of other secretaries and officials are anticipated.

Notably, Subodh Singh had previously served as Secretary to the Chief Minister. Sources suggest he is likely to be appointed as the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, fueling speculation about his return to the CM Secretariat.
