Main Accused in Journalist Mukesh Chandrakar Murder Case, Suresh Chandrakar, Arrested in Hyderabad

In the journalist Mukesh Chandrakar murder case, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) arrested the prime accused, contractor Suresh Chandrakar, late Sunday night in Hyderabad.
Bijapur Superintendent of Police Jitendra Singh Yadav confirmed the arrest, stating that the accused is currently being interrogated. Three other individuals have already been arrested in connection with this case.


It is noteworthy that Mukesh Chandrakar’s body was recovered from a septic tank on a property owned by contractor Suresh Chandrakar on January 3. Mukesh had been missing since January 1. During the police search at Suresh Chandrakar’s residence, Mukesh’s body was discovered in the septic tank as part of the investigation.

Prime Accused and Motive Behind the murder
Contractor Suresh Chandrakar is believed to be the mastermind behind the murder. It is suspected that journalist Mukesh Chandrakar had recently exposed a Rs 120 crore scam in a road construction project, which led the state government to initiate an investigation into the contractor’s activities. Following this, Suresh went into hiding.
