Government Conducting Surveillance on Baij:
Slogans Erupt in Assembly – “Stop Intimidating with ED”

Raipur:
Chaos erupted in the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly on Friday. As soon as Speaker Dr. Raman Singh arrived, MLA Umesh Patel raised an incident from the previous night, demanding discussion. Soon, other Congress MLAs stood up and began chanting slogans. Dr. Singh attempted to maintain order, urging legislators to allow proceedings to continue.
Meanwhile, Minister Brijmohan Agrawal and MLA Ajay Chandrakar interrupted, further agitating Congress members. Slogans like “Stop intimidating with ED…” echoed through the House. The uproar stemmed from an incident the previous night, where Congress workers in Raipur apprehended police personnel from Dantewada near PCC Chief Deepak Baij’s bungalow.
Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel took to social media, alleging that the government was conducting surveillance on Baij. He claimed police officers were spotted monitoring the Congress leader’s residence.
As tensions escalated, Speaker Dr. Raman Singh adjourned the session for 10 minutes. However, when proceedings resumed, the Congress MLAs continued their protest, refusing to back down.
