20 NIT Raipur faculty members named in Stanford top 2% global scientists list

Raipur, 8 October। Twenty faculty members from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur have featured in the list of the top two per cent of global scientists and researchers published by Stanford University, USA.
The annual database, compiled using Scopus data provided by Elsevier through the ICSR Lab, evaluates researchers across multiple scientific and technological disciplines based on standardized citation metrics.
Eight faculty members secured spots under the “Career-long Impact” category, which measures sustained research contributions:

The featured researchers represent diverse subject specialisations. Dr Awanish Kumar Kiran works in pharmacology, drug discovery, and antimicrobial resistance. Researchers from the computer science and information technology departments — including Dr Govind Prasad Gupta, Dr Pradeep Singh, Dr Dilip Singh Sisodia, Dr Rakesh Tripathi, Dr R R Janghel, and Dr Karnati Mohan — focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning, soft computing, image processing, and communication networks.
Dr Pratima Gupta works in microbiology and bioprocess technology, while Dr Ayush Khare conducts research in applied physics and experimental condensed matter physics. Materials engineering and advanced machining form the key areas for Dr Sudip Kumar Sinha and Dr Mohan Kumar Pradhan. Dr Lata Sheo Bachan Upadhyay and Dr Satya Eswari Jujjavarapu concentrate on biotechnology, biosensors, and bioprocess engineering.
Electrical engineering faculty members Dr Sachin Jain, Dr Subhojit Ghosh, and Dr Anamika Yadav focus on energy and power systems. Next-generation wireless communications and nanoelectronic devices form the focus areas for Dr Mayur Vitthalrao Katwe and Dr Kaushal Kumar Nigam. Dr Sudip Paul contributes to biomedical engineering, and Dr Kafeel Ahmad Siddiqui specializes in functional materials and metal-organic frameworks.
