Raipur will illuminate 25 lakh diyas on September 17 as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. District Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh inspected the venue at Marine Drive late last night to review the preparations.
Dr. Singh directed officials to complete all arrangements within the stipulated timeline. He also issued instructions regarding public safety, crowd management, and traffic arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
The district administration has appealed to residents to actively participate in the campaign. Officials urged citizens to assemble at 7 pm on September 17 with lamps and light a diya for a prosperous Raipur, Chhattisgarh, and India.
Those present during the inspection included Zila Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Kumar Bishwaranjan, DCP Central Zone Tarkeshwar Patel, DCP Traffic Dr. Archana Jha, Additional Director of Public Relations Umesh Mishra, Additional Collector Kirtiman Singh Rathore, Joint Director of Public Relations Pawan Gupta, Additional DCP Vivek Shukla, and Raipur SDM Nandkumar Chaube.
