RAIPUR, October 27: The Indian Air Force (IAF) will conduct a ‘Sarang Helicopter Air Show’ at Sendh Lake in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar on November 2 to mark Chhattisgarh State Foundation Day. The district administration has stepped up preparations for the event.
Raipur Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh visited the venue along with a team of officials to review the preparations. During the inspection, he emphasized that spectator safety, convenience and smooth traffic management would be the administration’s top priorities, considering the large turnout expected at the venue. He directed officials to complete all necessary arrangements well in advance.
The collector instructed officials to ensure proper seating arrangements for the main stage, VIPs and general spectators. He also stressed the need for an effective traffic management plan, adequate parking facilities, and clearly marked entry and exit points.
To deal with emergencies, Dr. Singh directed officials to ensure the availability of first-aid kits, ambulances and medical teams at the venue. He also instructed the concerned departments to make arrangements for an uninterrupted sound system, continuous power supply, clean drinking water, mobile toilets and efficient public transport services.
The collector directed all concerned departments to work in close coordination to ensure that citizens attending the event do not face any inconvenience.
Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sambit Mishra, District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Kumar Biswaranjan, senior Indian Air Force officers, and officials from various government departments were present during the inspection.
