Raipur: The Raipur Traffic Police on Monday issued a traffic advisory after heavy rainfall caused severe traffic congestion on the Chandnidih route leading into the city.
According to the police, waterlogging caused by an overflowing drain, along with technical issues on the affected stretch, has significantly slowed vehicular movement, resulting in long traffic snarls.
The Traffic Police has advised motorists to use alternative routes wherever possible to avoid delays. Those travelling via the Chandnidih route have been urged to plan their journeys with additional travel time.
Commuters have also been requested to drive at controlled speeds during the rain, strictly follow the instructions of traffic personnel deployed on the route, and avoid wrong-side driving or attempting to bypass traffic. The police appealed for public cooperation to ensure smooth traffic flow and prevent further congestion on the affected stretch.
