Raipur municipal body announces regularisation scheme for unauthorised water connections

RAIPUR: The Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) has launched a ‘One-Time Water Tax Settlement Scheme’ to regularise unauthorised water connections across the city. Civic officials have urged residents with undocumented water connections to complete the regularisation process between 15 July and 15 October 2026 to avoid punitive action.
Under the scheme, residents can submit applications at their respective zone offices. The corporation has fixed a one-time lump-sum payment of ₹15,882 to regularise both residential and commercial water connections.
The civic body has warned that failure to register undocumented connections by the 15 October deadline will result in the immediate disconnection of the water supply. Alternatively, offenders will face a penalty of three times the standard regularisation fee.
Residents facing technical issues or requiring assistance with the application process can contact the RMC helpline at 9301953298.
