One Order, 30 Transfers: Chhattisgarh Government Rejigs Excise Department, Key Officers Get Fresh Postings
RAIPUR
The Chhattisgarh government has transferred 30 officials and personnel of the Commercial Tax (Excise) Department with immediate effect on administrative grounds. Under Secretary K.L. Kashyap issued the order on 22 June 2026 on behalf of the Governor. The state government has directed that all transferred employees stand relieved unilaterally with immediate effect. The order also states that their upcoming salaries cannot be drawn from their previous places of posting.
Major Administrative Realignments
Assistant Excise Commissioner Praveen Verma, who was posted at the Excise Commissioner Headquarters, Nava Raipur, has been given charge as In-charge Deputy Excise Commissioner, Raipur district.
District Excise Officer Rajesh Kumar Sharma has been shifted from Raipur to Rajnandgaon.
District Excise Officer Ratnesh Maravi moves from the Bastar Division Flying Squad to take independent charge of Sakti district.
Nitin Kumar Shukla has been transferred from Sakti to Manendragarh-Bharatpur-Chirmiri.
Deep Mahish, who was managing the Siltara Warehouse of the Chhattisgarh State Beverages Corporation, will now head the State-Level Flying Squad, Raipur.
Shift in District Postings
District Excise Officer Nidhish Kosti moves from the Nava Raipur Headquarters to Balodabazar-Bhatapara.
District Excise Officer Mukesh Agrawal has been transferred from Balodabazar-Bhatapara to the Excise Headquarters, Nava Raipur.
Abhishek Tiwari has been posted as In-charge Assistant Excise Commissioner, Raigarh, after moving from Rajnandgaon.
Christopher Khalkho has been transferred from Raigarh to serve as In-charge Assistant Excise Commissioner, Durg.
C.R. Sahu has been posted to Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai from Durg.
Neelima Dighraskar moves from Janjgir-Champa to the Siltara Warehouse, Raipur.
The administrative order also covers the transfer of multiple Assistant District Excise Officers, Excise Sub-Inspectors, and a Chief Clerk across regions including Bilaspur, Balod, Bemetara, Korba, and Kabirdham to ensure smooth departmental operations.
