HNLU signs MoU with Taiwan’s National Chi Nan University, boosts India-Taiwan academic and research collaboration

Raipur: Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Taiwan’s National Chi Nan University (NCNU) to strengthen academic and research collaboration between the two institutions. The agreement was signed on May 6, 2026, at the NCNU campus in Taiwan.

HNLU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Vivekanandan said the partnership would promote interdisciplinary collaboration and deepen academic ties between India and Taiwan. NCNU President Dr. Dong-sing Wuu, an electrical engineer by training, welcomed the association with an Indian national law university and expressed optimism about cooperation in emerging areas at the intersection of law and technology.

Under the MoU, the two universities will collaborate on joint research initiatives, academic exchanges, conferences, seminars, and workshops. The agreement also includes faculty and student mobility programmes, cross-border academic partnerships, and opportunities for interdisciplinary and comparative research.

The collaboration is part of HNLU’s broader strategy to expand its global academic presence and build international partnerships aligned with evolving research and educational priorities. Details regarding specific projects and exchange schedules are expected to be announced in the coming months.
