Chhattisgarh Bags ‘High Performer’ Tag in LEADS 2025 Report

Raipur:
Chhattisgarh has secured the ‘High Performer’ status in the Landlocked States category in the Logistics Ease Across Different States (LEADS) 2025 report.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said the recognition, awarded by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry, is a matter of pride for the state. The ranking reflects that Chhattisgarh is rapidly emerging as a major logistics and industrial hub in India.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government is continuously working towards strengthening infrastructure, improving industrial connectivity, and creating an investor-friendly environment. This national recognition highlights the state’s governance reforms and rapid economic growth, placing Chhattisgarh alongside established industrial states such as Haryana and Telangana.
The state government aims to position Chhattisgarh among India’s leading logistics and investment destinations. Under the LEADS Framework, the Centre evaluates states on parameters such as logistics infrastructure, services, regulatory systems, and sustainable logistics.
Chhattisgarh’s elevation to the High Performer Tier indicates improved cargo movement, stronger industrial operations, and a more efficient supply chain network.
The state government recently introduced the ‘Chhattisgarh State Logistics Policy 2025’ to reduce logistics costs, enhance multimodal connectivity, and expand supply chain capacity.
The government has also granted ‘Industry Status’ to the logistics and warehousing sector to attract private investment and generate employment opportunities. In addition, a City Logistics Plan has been prepared for Raipur to streamline freight movement, reduce traffic congestion, and support planned urban growth.
For better planning and evaluation of major infrastructure projects, the state has made the use of the PM Gati Shakti National and State Master Plan Portal mandatory. Revenue authorities have also completed the digitisation of land records to improve transparency and accelerate project execution.
To strengthen the Ease of Doing Business, the administration has simplified approvals through a single-window portal. The state has further integrated the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) to support a data-driven logistics ecosystem.
The Chief Minister said that the state’s progressive policies, rapidly expanding infrastructure, and rising industrial output will establish Chhattisgarh as one of India’s leading investment hubs in the coming years.
