NEET UG counselling 2026: Admission to be cancelled on false information, warns state counselling committee

Chhattisgarh health minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal has said disregard for the interests of children in Chhattisgarh will not be tolerated. The objective behind expanding medical colleges and MBBS seats in the state is to provide maximum opportunities for medical education to local children.
The minister stated that any doubt or complaint regarding domicile credentials will face strict investigation. The system has been made transparent and foolproof. Candidates with genuine documents need not worry, but violations of rules or fraud will draw strict action.
He added that students in Chhattisgarh have worked hard, and protecting their rights and future remains the government’s responsibility. Increasing medical colleges and seat capacity is an achievement, but ensuring that eligible candidates receive the benefits remains equally important. Negligence in this matter will not be accepted.
The counselling, merit list preparation, and seat allocation processes are being conducted online in a transparent manner according to established admission rules. The Chhattisgarh State Counselling Committee issued key guidelines regarding state-level counselling for NEET UG 2026 admissions.
As per Rule 7 of the Chhattisgarh Medical, Dental and Physical Therapy (Physiotherapy) Undergraduate Admission Rules, 2025, the online counselling process includes registration, choice filling, allotment, document verification, and admission formalities. During eligibility checks, authority teams will scrutinise domicile certificates, category certificates, and other required documents. Admission process stands complete only after the candidate submits all required original documents and clears verification.
Cancellation of admission for incorrect information
Rule 12 of the admission framework provides that providing false information, hiding relevant facts, or securing admission due to any error or oversight will lead to cancellation of admission. Complaints regarding domicile certificates or other submitted documents will trigger investigation and appropriate legal action.
Avoid rumours, register complaints on portal
The State Counselling Committee urged candidates not to rely on rumours or misleading information. Candidates facing queries or grievances can submit complaints via the “Candidates Grievances and Query Redressal System” on the official candidate login portal, or email the counselling department at cgdme.counseling@gmail.com
