A traffic police personnel, Nilambar Sinha, found a bag on the road full of banknotes. Without delay, he deposited this bag at the police station. Appreciating the honesty of the jawan, the department has announced a reward for him.
Police station traffic, constable number 1602 Nilambar Sinha posted in Kayabandha Nava Raipur was going to the camp after duty from the airport between 08.30 today. The young man found a white bag on the road in front of Rai Public School, located in the Mana area. On checking, the policeman found 2000 and 500 notes in different bundles. The policeman informed the senior officers, and the bag full of notes was brought to the police station civil line and deposited.
ASP Sukhnandan Rathore said that there were about 45 lakh rupees in cash inside the bag. The Civil Line Police booked it under section 102. Under this, the police are tracing its heir by confiscating it in an unclaimed condition. Constable Nilambar Sinha presented an example of honesty by depositing a bag full of cash in the police station. While praising Nilambar Sinha, the Inspector General of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police has announced a suitable reward for him.
Constable Nilambar Sinha said that he saw the bag lying on the other side of the divider on the way to Mana. By the time he reached the other side, a van driver had picked up the bag and opened it, and on seeing the constable, the driver fled. Constable suspects that the van driver may have run away with a bundle of notes. Police are now looking for the person whose bag full of notes had fallen on the road with the help of CCTV cameras installed on the airport route. The police found the number of the van and are engaged in finding it.
Since the police found the bag, no one reached out to the police to complain about the loss of their money. The police suspect that the cash might be illegal or black money. Although, it is not so difficult to find someone in Raipur city surrounded by closed circuit cameras. Soon the person who lost the cash will turn up.
