16 State Police Officers Promoted to Additional SP Rank

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has approved the promotion of 16 State Police Service (SPS) officers to the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) or Deputy Commandant. The order, issued by the State Home (Police) Department on Tuesday, comes following a special initiative by Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma.

The Home Department issued the promotion list based on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion and Scrutiny Committee. These 16 officers, previously serving in the senior scale pay grade as Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) or Assistant Commandants, have been promoted to the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police or Deputy Commandant on a functional basis.

The promoted officers include Ritesh Chaudhary, Jitendra Kumar Khunte, Anjali Nag (Gupta), Karn Kumar Uikey, Manoj Kumar Dhruv, Pushpendra Nayak, Manoj Tirkey, Sarika Vaidya, Nidhi Nag, Kapil Chandra, Avinash Kumar Mishra, Ishwar Prasad Trivedi, Yogesh Kumar Sahu, Mayank Tiwari, Rashmeet Kaur Chawla, and Anil Kumar Vishwakarma.

Government sources stated that Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma prioritised these career advancements to boost morale within the state police cadre on the final day of the year.
