Worker dies in mishap at JSP; union demands Rs 50 lakh compensation

A worker was killed in a late-night accident at the Jindal Steel Plant. Trade union officials have demanded Rs 50 lakh in compensation from the plant management over the death of Vijay Bahadur, a resident of Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh.
According to information, the incident occurred between 2 AM and 3 AM due to excessive heat in Blast Furnace 01 of the Jindal Steel Plant. The worker was rushed to Jindal Fortis Hospital during the night after the accident.
Experts claim that similar incidents have occurred in the past, but the plant management has failed to learn from them, leading to yet another fatality.
Following the incident, Pintu Singh, district president of the Bharatiya Janata Mazdoor Trade Union Council, arrived at the hospital with other members and demanded ₹50 lakh in compensation.
