Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated a mega health check-up camp in memory of late Kumar Dilip Singh Judeo on his birth anniversary. The event took place at the Balasaheb Deshpande College Ground in Saliyatoli, under Kunkuri in Jashpur district. The CM paid floral tributes to Maa Saraswati, Bharat Mata, Chhattisgarh Mahtari, and late Kumar Dilip Singh Judeo before commencing the camp. On this occasion, he announced that a mega health check-up camp would be organized every year on March 8.
The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to expanding healthcare services in the state. “Our goal is to ensure that the people of Chhattisgarh remain healthy and the state progresses towards prosperity. Keeping this in mind, this year’s budget includes provisions for establishing a medical college in Kunkuri. Additionally, the government has decided to open a government nursing college and a government physiotherapy college in Jashpur to strengthen healthcare services,” he stated. CM Sai assured that these facilities would provide better treatment to local residents, reducing their need to travel to other cities for medical care. He urged people to take full advantage of the health camp, adding that those diagnosed with serious illnesses would receive proper treatment in Raipur at the government’s expense.
During the event, the Chief Minister visited various specialist counters, interacted with doctors, and expressed his gratitude for their dedication and service.
The health camp has been organized by the Jashpur district administration in collaboration with AIIMS Raipur. Specialist doctors from AIIMS are providing medical services in fields such as medicine, surgery, oncology, ENT, ophthalmology, orthopedics, nephrology, dermatology, gynecology, and psychiatry. Patients diagnosed with serious conditions are being referred to Raipur for further treatment. Free medicines are also being distributed at the camp.
For the convenience of patients, the camp features 10 registration counters, 7 general OPD counters, 2 laboratory counters, and dedicated specialist department counters, along with general ward facilities.
At the camp, CM Sai distributed Ayushman Bharat and Vay Vandana cards to beneficiaries, including Sunder Yadav, Sunita Bai, Bhagwati Singh, Francis Tigga, Placidious Kerketta, and Khilaso Bai, under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Additionally, 10 tuberculosis (TB) patients received food baskets under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
