Chhattisgarh Rajyotsava Celebrations to Begin on a Grand Scale : Bollywood Stars Shan and Neeti Mohan to Headline Events; Pawandeep-Arunita Duo to Appear

Chhattisgarh is set to celebrate its vibrant cultural heritage with the annual Rajyotsava, kicking off on Monday in Naya Raipur. The three-day festival, scheduled from November 4 to November 6, promises an exciting blend of Bollywood performances, folk artistry, and cultural showcases. Bollywood singer Shan will set the stage on fire on November 4, followed by a captivating performance by Neeti Mohan on November 5. The much-loved duo Pawandeep Rajan and Arunita Kanjilal will also charm audiences with their musical renditions.
The opening ceremony will be graced by the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, while Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will attend the closing and award ceremonies on November 6. Recently, Chhattisgarh’s Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao extended a formal invitation to the Vice President, which was accepted, underscoring the significance of this cultural festival.
Highlights of Rajyotsava 2024
The Rajyotsava fairgrounds in Naya Raipur will showcase an extensive array of exhibits, cultural displays, and attractions, organized by different government departments to highlight the state’s cultural and developmental strides. Visitors will find:
Exhibitions and Cultural Displays: Each department will set up unique stalls displaying local crafts, innovations, and developmental achievements. Exhibits will include handcrafted items, clothing, clay artifacts, and traditional art pieces, allowing visitors a deep dive into Chhattisgarh’s heritage.
Food Court: A wide range of local and regional delicacies will be available at the food court, offering a taste of authentic Chhattisgarhi cuisine.
Selfie Zones: Several interactive zones will be set up for visitors to capture memories, complete with installations that reflect the state’s rich cultural symbolism.
Public Transportation and Access
To make the Rajyotsava accessible to all, special bus services will be available from Raipur to the fairgrounds in Naya Raipur. The BRTS buses, which don’t typically cover this route, will operate during the festival to offer convenient and affordable transport. Buses will run from the CBD building in Raipur to the fairgrounds, with stops at various locations such as Telibandha, DKS Bhawan, and the railway station.
The bus schedule includes departures every half hour from Raipur, starting at 11:00 a.m. and continuing until 9:00 p.m. Return buses will run from the fairgrounds to Raipur every 30 minutes from 12:12 p.m. to 11:12 p.m., with fares ranging from 20 to 25 rupees.
