Former Legislator Ramdayal Uikey launches campaign against General Administration Department Secretary D D Singh
Raipur Former legislator Ramdayal Uikey has launched a campaign against IAS officer D D Singh who is reportedly being given as extension as GAD secretary. He has penned a letter to Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai, mentioning that the IAS officer worked at the behest of Congress and therefore should not be granted an extension in service on a contractual basis. In the letter addressed to the Chief Minister, the former legislator referred to Singh, who works at the secretary level in the General Administration Department, as having a pro-Congress mindset. Uikey mentioned that besides attempting to secure a Congress ticket from Katghora constituency, Singh campaigned in favor of the Congress candidate in Uikey’s legislative area, Pali-Tanakhar, causing damage to the BJP in the legislative elections. Uikey stated that officers who have become uncontrollable in the Bhupesh Baghel government are still employing traditional Congress tactics. He emphasized that these actions are occurring within the General Administration Department, responsible for guiding crucial administrative tasks such as transfers, establishing vacant positions, contractual appointments, and extensions. The former legislator highlighted Singh’s influential tenure at the CM Secretariat during the previous government. Singh is attempting to secure an extension again, currently working on a contractual basis. Uikey expressed concern that granting an extension to such an officer would tarnish the government’s image and reactivate the lobby of officers involved in favoritism and manipulation.
