Governor Harichandan is reviewing the functioning of the state’s private universities in a meeting being conducted at Raj Bhawan

Raipur: Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan is currently conducting a review of all private universities in the state, evaluating their educational activities and research work. The meeting, which commenced at 11 a.m. at Raj Bhawan, is attended by Higher Education secretary Siddhartha Pardeshi, the Governor’s secretary, Amrit Khalkho, and the Vice Chancellors of all private universities.
During the meeting, the focus is on assessing the implementation status of the National Education Policy 2020, evaluating universities and affiliated colleges through the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), their grading, and the efforts made by institutions to improve NAAC grading. Additionally, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the universities and other higher educational institutions to enhance the quality of higher education is also being reviewed. The observance of the academic session, timely conduct of examinations and result declaration, as well as information on special research and innovation initiatives undertaken by the universities are also being discussed.
