The government will adopt a Kumhari accident orphan girl. “Now the government bears full responsibility for the child,” the CM said.

Dispatch News.
The state government will adopt the girl child who lost her parents in the Kumhari flyover accident last week. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel himself informed me about this on Tuesday. The Chief Minister wrote the girl orphaned in the accident is the responsibility of all of us. We have decided to adopt this baby girl. The entire responsibility of the girl child now rests with the government.
A bike fell from an under-construction flyover in Kumhari around midnight on 9-10 December. In this accident, Aju Ram Dewangan and his wife Nirmala Dewangan, residents of Changorabhata, Raipur, died on the spot. Their 13-year-old daughter Annu Dewangan, who was riding the bike, was injured.
According to the information, at 11.30 pm on December 9, Aju Ram Dewangan was going to his home from Janjgiri to Raipur Changorabhata. He was accompanied by his wife, Nirmala Devangan and daughter Annu Devangan in the bike CG 04 NV 5125. Aju Ram was riding his bike on the bridge connecting Bhilai and Raipur. He realised there was no bridge ahead of him 100 metres. When he slammed on the brakes, the vehicle became unbalanced. As a result, Aju Ram fell under the bridge while riding his daughter’s bike, and his wife collided with the number 48 pillar and hung there. Police arrived later and took the injured Annu to AIIMS. She got discharged after treatment there. The bodies of the husband and wife were for post-mortem. The deceased couple has three daughters, of which Annu is the eldest.
The investigation of the accident revealed that the construction agency had not put any barrier or sign at the entry of the flyover, which would show that it was unfinished. After the information about the accident came to the fore, the Chief Minister instructed to take action against the guilty company. After that, the engineer of the construction agency Royal Infra was found responsible for it. After talks with the administration, the company announced Rs 15 lakh for Annu Dewangan. Later the administration gave this cheque to the girl child.
Holding the flyover construction company Royal Infra Construction Pvt Ltd responsible for the accident, the Durg police arrested the company’s senior engineer Piyush Padhi and sent him to jail last Tuesday. Not only this, but the police have also accused the company’s directors, Jitendra Jain, Shreyansh Jain, project head Anirudh Jain and project manager Santanu Malik in this case.
Two people lost their lives due to the negligence of the NH engineer and contractor at the Kumhari Flyover Bridge. Engineers uprooted the bridge connecting Bhilai and Raipur to rebuild it due to a technical shortage, but no plans were made to prevent vehicles from using it. After falling from this bridge, the biker couple died.
The Kumhari Over Bridge was finished and ready for use. When the technical team examined it, they discovered that the arch here was crooked. As a result, the bridge span connecting Bhilai and Raipur was opened, and a new arch was constructed. The contractor opened the bridge, but he did not close the approach road, which was connecting this bridge. The contractor did not put any sign board like work in progress board, danger board, or construction is in progress anywhere on the bridge. Due to this, the bike and car drivers got confused and moved towards the bridge of death at high speed, and two died after falling into it.
