Zone 5 revenue department of the Raipur Municipal Corporation sealed a commercial shop-cum-godown in Thakur Pyarelal Singh Ward 39 after the property owner failed to clear pending tax dues despite a final notice.
The action was taken on the orders of Municipal Commissioner Sambit Mishra and under the direction of Additional Commissioner (Revenue) Lokeshwar Sahu and Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Dr. Anjali Sharma as part of an ongoing revenue recovery drive.
Zone 5 Commissioner Khirsagar Nayak guided the operation, which was carried out by Zone Assistant Revenue Officer Pramod Jadhav, Revenue Inspectors Khagendra Soni and Manish Bhoi, along with Assistant Revenue Inspectors Vipin Soni, Amar Sagar, Manish Khunte, and staff from the Zone 5 Town Planning Department.
The property belonged to Mohammad Islamuddin, who had accrued unpaid property tax amounting to ₹2,95,194 since the financial year 2020-21. Civic officials locked and sealed the premises on the spot following standard legal procedures after the default period expired.
