Major IAS reshuffle in Chhattisgarh: Sonmoni Borah appointed Urban Administration principal secretary

RAIPUR

The Chhattisgarh government executed a major administrative reshuffle on Tuesday, transferring and reassigning duties for 22 IAS officers and one Indian Forest Service officer across state departments.

General Administration Department Secretary Rajat Kumar issued the official order on behalf of the Governor.

Key secretarial and departmental postings

Sonmoni Borah (IAS: 1999): Principal Secretary, Tribal Development, SC Development, OBC and Minority Development, with additional charge of Science and Technology, has been posted as Principal Secretary, Urban Administration and Development Department. He continues to hold additional charge of Science and Technology.

R Sangeetha (IAS: 2005): Secretary, Urban Administration and Development Department, has been temporarily posted as Secretary, Mantralaya.

Bhuvnesh Yadav (IAS: 2006): Secretary, Planning, Economics and Statistics, with additional charge of Commercial Tax (Registration), gets additional charge as Secretary, Tribal Development, SC Development, OBC and Minority Development Departments.

Bhaskar Vilas Sandipan (IAS: 2011): Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Chhattisgarh, gets additional charge as Managing Director, Civil Supplies Corporation, following approval from the Election Commission of India.

Iffat Aara (IAS: 2012): Special Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management, who held additional charge as Managing Director, Civil Supplies Corporation, stands relieved of the corporation post.

Remijius Ekka (IAS: 2011): Director, Urban Administration and Development, has been appointed Special Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department, with additional charge as Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission.

Mohammad Kaiser Abdul Haque (IAS: 2007): Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department, is relieved of his additional charge as Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission.

Jagdish Sonkar (IAS: 2013): Managing Director, Antyavasayi Cooperative Finance and Development Corporation, has been posted as Special Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department.
