Chhattisgarh Government Reshuffles 27 IAS and SAS Officers, Assigns New Administrative Responsibilities

The Chhattisgarh Government on Tuesday carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 27 officers, including 8 IAS and 19 State Administrative Service (SAS) officers, and assigning them new responsibilities across district administrations, municipal corporations, and key state departments. The transfer orders were issued by the General Administration Department (GAD).

Among the IAS officers, Remejeus Ekka (2011 batch), currently serving as Director, Urban Administration and Development, has been given the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), State Urban Development Agency (SUDA).

Gajendra Singh Thakur (2019 batch), CEO of Dhamtari Zila Panchayat, has been appointed Deputy Secretary in the Revenue, Disaster Management and Rehabilitation Department. Pratik Jain (2020 batch) has been transferred from Bastar Zila Panchayat to serve as CEO, Korba Zila Panchayat, while Suruchi Singh (2020 batch) has been appointed Commissioner of Bhilai Municipal Corporation after serving as CEO of Rajnandgaon Zila Panchayat.

Jayant Nahata (2021 batch) has been shifted from CEO, Dantewada Zila Panchayat, to CEO, Dhamtari Zila Panchayat.

The government has also entrusted Zila Panchayat CEO responsibilities to three 2023-batch IAS officers. M. Bhargava, currently SDM, Dongargarh, has been posted as CEO, Dantewada Zila Panchayat. Tanmay Khanna, SDM, Katghora, has been appointed CEO, Bastar Zila Panchayat, while Durga Prasad Adhikari, SDM, Gharghoda, will serve as CEO, Rajnandgaon Zila Panchayat.

The reshuffle also includes 19 State Administrative Service (SAS) officers. Indrajeet Barman (2013 batch) has been transferred from CEO, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh Zila Panchayat, to Additional Director, Directorate of Health Services, Nava Raipur. Rajiv Kumar Pandey has been shifted from Commissioner, Bhilai Municipal Corporation, to Additional Director, Directorate of Higher Education, while Bharti Chandrakar has been appointed Additional Managing Director of Markfed after serving as CEO of Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki Zila Panchayat.

Dinesh Kumar Nag (2014 batch) has been transferred from CEO, Korba Zila Panchayat, to General Manager, Chhattisgarh State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited. Nayantara Singh Tomar has been appointed Additional Director, Directorate of Medical Education after serving as CEO of Balrampur-Ramanujganj Zila Panchayat.

Several Zila Panchayat CEOs have also been reshuffled. Gokul Ram Raote has been moved from Janjgir-Champa to Mungeli as CEO, while Ashutosh Chaturvedi has been transferred from Koriya to Balrampur-Ramanujganj Zila Panchayat. Abhishek Kumar Gupta, formerly Additional Collector, Balodabazar-Bhatapara, has been appointed CEO, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki Zila Panchayat.

Prabhakar Pandey has been transferred from Mungeli Zila Panchayat to serve as Joint Director, Sports and Youth Welfare Department. Shashank Pandey, who headed SUDA, has been appointed Additional Managing Director, Chhattisgarh Road Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited, while continuing to hold additional charge as Additional CEO of CHiPS.

Rishikesh Tiwari and Vinay Kumar Poyam, serving as Additional Collectors in Bastar and Kabirdham, respectively, have been appointed CEOs of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh and Janjgir-Champa Zila Panchayats. Yogendra Shrivas has been transferred from Markfed to serve as CEO, Koriya Zila Panchayat.

The reshuffle also brought changes in municipal corporations and district administration. Arun Kumar Verma, formerly Additional Collector, North Bastar Kanker, has been appointed Commissioner, Dhamtari Municipal Corporation. Priya Goyal, previously Commissioner, Dhamtari Municipal Corporation, has been posted as Additional Commissioner, Directorate of Land Records.

Meanwhile, G.R. Markam has been appointed Commissioner, Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation, replacing Atul Vishwakarma, who has been transferred as Joint Commissioner, Directorate of Land Records. Vijayendra Singh, formerly Deputy Collector, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, has been elevated as Commissioner, Chirmiri Municipal Corporation, while Ramprasad Anchla has been posted to the Kabirdham Collectorate as a Selection Grade Officer.
