CM Baghel takes out ‘Padyatra’ from Deur Mandir to Bhent-Mulaqat programme venue in Gurur
Raipur: Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday reached Gurur of Balod assembly constituency as a part of his ‘Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan’. After offering prayers at Deur Mandir, Baghel took out a ‘Padyatra’ (journey by foot) from the temple to the venue of his ‘Bhent-Mulaqat’ programme, covering a distance of about 1 kilometer. People of Gurur turned out in large numbers on road to welcome chief minister with great enthusiasm.
During the ‘padyatra’, locals gave a rousing welcome to chief minister, showering flower petals, raising slogans of ‘Kaka Zindabad’, and presenting him flower bouquets. Baghel met people standing on the side of the road waiting for him to come. He was also given a traditional welcome by women with ‘aarti’ and applying ’tilak’. The youth clicked selfies with chief minister. The locals also garlanded the chief minister and tied a colorful ‘safa’ on his head.
After reaching the ‘Bhent-Mulaqat’ venue, the chief minister visited Dakshin Mukhi Hanuman temple located behind the venue and took the blessings of Lord Hanuman Ji before starting the programme. He also prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state.
