Police launch surprise checks at 10 spa centres in Raipur

Raipur: The Raipur Commissionerate Police conducted a special surprise inspection drive across 10 spa centres in the city’s West Zone to ensure compliance with legal regulations and maintain law and order.

Following directions from Deputy Commissioner of Police (West Zone) Sandeep Patel, a joint team led by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (West Zone) Rahul Dev Sharma carried out the operation. The team included Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) from the West Zone and Station House Officers (SHOs) from Saraswati Nagar, Azad Chowk, and D.D. Nagar police stations.

During the drive, the police thoroughly examined the operations, staff identification documents, visitor registers, safety arrangements, and legal records of all 10 spa centres. The team also inspected the functioning of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras to ensure that no illegal or suspicious activities were taking place on the premises.

Police officials directed the operators to keep all mandatory records updated, complete employee verification, and ensure the regular functioning of CCTV cameras. They also warned that strict legal action would be taken against any spa centre found violating government guidelines or allowing illegal activities.
